Lights are on
During my time at the Amsterdam Film School, I wrote, directed, and produced my debut short film, Lights Are On, which premiered at Kriterion Amsterdam alongside the graduation shorts of my fellow students.
At the time, I was still fairly new to the Netherlands and longing for meaningful friendships and deep connections. That feeling ultimately shaped the film. Lights Are On is my take on expat loneliness — and where it may lead.
